Engagement models

Three ways to work with us.
All of them cancellable.

Most agencies price to protect themselves. We price so you can leave — fixed figures, milestone payments, 30-day notice and code that is yours from the first commit. If we are worth keeping, that should be obvious from the work.

Not ready to commit

Start with two weeks
and a document.

A paid discovery sprint: architecture, interface designs, a risk register and a costed delivery plan. Two weeks, a fraction of a full build, and the document is yours — whether you build it with us, build it in-house, or put it in a drawer for a quarter.

  • System architecture and data model
  • Interface designs for the core flows
  • Risk register — what could go wrong, and what it would cost
  • A costed, phased delivery plan
  • A recommendation on what to cut if the budget tightens
  • Yours to keep, with no obligation to continue

What you are paying for

The same six steps,
whichever model you pick.

  1. 01 Days 1–3

    Scope

A call, then a written scope: what we will build, what it costs, what could go wrong, and what we would cut first if the budget tightened. You get that document whether or not you hire us.

  2. 02 Week 1–2

    Design

Architecture and interface designed together, so nothing is drawn that cannot be built and nothing is built that has not been thought through. You approve before code starts.

  3. 03 Every 2 weeks

    Build

Two-week increments, each ending in something you can click on a real URL. No status decks describing progress you cannot see.

  4. 04 Pre-launch

    Harden

Performance budgets, accessibility audit, security review, load testing and the runbook for the three incidents most likely to happen first.

  5. 05 Release week

    Launch

Staged rollout with monitoring in place and a rollback that has been tested. We are on the call during the release, not reading about it afterwards.

  6. 06 Ongoing

    Hand over

Documentation, a recorded walkthrough and a training session. You own the code, the accounts and the keys. Support afterwards is your choice, not a dependency.

Commercials

The money questions.

Why are the prices a range rather than a number?

Because the honest number depends on scope, and quoting one before we understand the scope would be a guess dressed up as a price. What we do commit to is a written, fixed figure within 48 hours of a scoping call — and that figure does not move unless you change what you asked for.

What happens if the project runs over?

On a fixed-scope engagement, an overrun that is our fault is ours to absorb — the price is the price. If the overrun comes from a change you asked for, we price the change separately and you approve it before we build it. Either way you find out the week we know, not at the deadline.

Can we start small?

Yes, and we usually recommend it. A two-week paid discovery — architecture, designs and a written plan — costs a fraction of a full build and leaves you with a document you own. Plenty of clients take that document, think about it for a quarter, and come back.

Do you require a long contract?

No. Squad engagements cancel with 30 days notice and retainers with 30 days notice. We would rather keep clients because the work is good than because the paperwork is tight.

What about payment terms?

Fixed-scope work is milestone-based, typically 30% at kickoff and the remainder against agreed deliverables. Squads and retainers are billed monthly in advance. We invoice in INR with GST, or in USD and GBP for international clients.

Is there anything not included?

Third-party costs are always yours and always transparent: cloud hosting, domain registration, paid APIs, app store fees, SMS and email providers. We set them up under your accounts so you see the real bill rather than a marked-up one.

Next step

Get a number
you can actually plan around.

A thirty-minute call, then a written scope within 48 hours: what we would build, what it costs, what could go wrong and what we would cut first. Yours whether or not you hire us.
