Internship programme
IoT & Embedded Systems Internship
Real boards, real firmware, real things that stop working.
Software forgives you. Hardware does not. In this programme you get a kit, you wire it wrong at least once, and you learn to debug a system where the bug might be in your code, your circuit, your power supply or the radio. It is the fastest way we know to make an ECE graduate employable.
Day to day
What you actually do.
- Receive a hardware kit and bring it up yourself
- Write firmware in C and MicroPython for a real microcontroller
- Get a device onto a network and streaming telemetry
- Build the dashboard that makes the data useful
- Design and demonstrate your own connected product
Structure
12 weeks, phase by phase.
- Weeks 1–3
Embedded foundations
- Microcontroller architecture, GPIO, timers and interrupts
- Reading a datasheet without panicking
- C for embedded systems, plus MicroPython for fast iteration
- Sensors, ADCs and signal conditioning
- Weeks 4–6
Connectivity
- Wi-Fi and BLE on the ESP32
- MQTT, CoAP and designing a message schema
- LoRaWAN for long range and low power
- Power budgeting and sleep modes that actually work
- Weeks 7–9
Cloud and edge
- Telemetry ingestion and time-series storage
- Dashboards and alerting with Grafana
- Device provisioning, identity and OTA updates
- TinyML: running a quantised model on the device
- Weeks 10–12
Capstone
- Design and build a complete connected product
- Enclosure, field testing and failure analysis
- Documentation, schematic and bill of materials
- Demo day and project defence
What you will use
What you leave with
- A working connected device you built and can demonstrate
- Firmware on your GitHub with documentation
- AICTE-recognised completion certificate
- A final-year project that will hold up to a viva
Who this is for
Eligibility, stated
plainly.
We would rather turn someone away at the application stage than three weeks into a cohort. If you are unsure whether you qualify, apply and ask — we answer honestly.
- ECE, EEE, instrumentation or CS students
- Basic C and comfort with a breadboard
- A refundable deposit covers the hardware kit
- Around 20 hours a week
Questions
About this programme.
Do I need to buy hardware?
We ship a kit with everything the programme needs against a refundable deposit, returned when you send the kit back or applied to the cost if you choose to keep it.
Can I use this as my final-year project?
Yes, and many interns do. The capstone is scoped so it satisfies a typical university project requirement, and you leave with the documentation, schematic and bill of materials a viva panel will ask for.
Other programmes
Full Stack Development
Build and ship a real application, reviewed line by line.
10 weeksFinance & Statistics
Statistics applied to money, with datasets that are not clean.
10 weeksStatistics under a CA
Where audit judgement meets statistical method.
12 weeksAI & Machine Learning
Train it, evaluate it honestly, then actually deploy it.
Applications
Ready for the iot & embedded systems track?
Send us a CV.
One paragraph about what you want to build is worth more to us than a cover letter template. We read every application and reply to every one.
