Frontend Developer
You will build interfaces that stay fast on a mid-range Android phone and usable with a keyboard. We care about Core Web Vitals and WCAG the way other teams care about pixel alignment, and you will have room to push back on designs that will not hold up.
What you will do
- Build production interfaces in React and TypeScript
- Own performance budgets and keep Core Web Vitals green
- Implement designs to WCAG 2.1 AA, including keyboard and screen reader paths
- Maintain and extend a shared component library
- Work directly with designers rather than through a handover document
What we need from you
- Solid React and modern JavaScript, with TypeScript in production
- Real CSS ability: layout, responsive design and animation
- Understanding of browser rendering and how to profile it
- Familiarity with accessibility requirements and testing
Nice to have
Genuinely optional. We have hired people who had none of these.
- Next.js, Astro or another meta-framework
- Design system or Storybook experience
- Animation work with GSAP or Framer Motion
- An eye for typography
